Telangana Touching Power Demand of 16,000 MW

Hyderabad: Telangana has achieved a remarkable milestone in power demand, nearing 16,000 MW.
The State's electricity consumption is experiencing significant growth, largely influenced by the summer season and the needs of Yasangi crops.
Last year, Telangana's power companies recorded their peak demand in March; however, they have surpassed this previous high within the month of February this year. The highest demand recorded in March of last year was 15,623 MW. This year, driven by rising temperatures and agricultural requirements, a peak demand of 15,920 MW was recorded on February 7. In a statement issued on Monday, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka affirmed that the distribution companies are delivering quality electricity without any issues, and the State government is actively taking measures to ensure power supply aligns with the increasing demand.
